IMHO: I discovered Salad's "Ice Cream" at WSBF, my college's radio station (Clemson University in South Carolina) where I DJ'd for a couple of years, always in the wee hours of the night (they probably thought, let's put this girl with the weird accent late so people don't get confused)... So I discovered Salad in those wee hours and loved the sound, so here they are. Marijne has a very cool low pitched voice and their pop is fresh like a scoop of ice cream (oh, how creative of me!). Fast beats, good stuff. Enjoy!
FAVOURITE SONG: "Cardboy King", "Yeah Yeah", "Motorbike to Heaven", "U.V."
FAVOURITE ALBUM: "Ice Cream"
WHAT OTHERS SAY: "Marijne has a great deal of stage presence, and would dominate any venue the band played. Her experience as a model clearly gave her the attitude to front a band, but as well as the looks and the style, she was also blessed with an amazing voice. Her vocals could go from treacle-sweet to buzzsaw-sharp in an instant and her impressive range added a great deal of flexiblity to the band's songwriting."
